On April 9th, 2026, Eddie and Jessica welcomed their beautiful son, Kian, into the world. Born early at 36 weeks, Kian was diagnosed with Ebstein’s Anomaly, a serious congenital heart defect. At just three days old, this tiny warrior has already undergone his first open-heart surgery.

​Kian is currently fighting in the CICU at Cook Children’s, where he faces a long road of upcoming procedures and an indefinite hospital stay. While Kian fights, his family is facing a mountain of their own. Eddie’s work takes him out of town, and being home to support his wife and newborn means navigating this time without an income. Between the costs of daily commuting, lodging near the hospital, and caring for Kian’s proud big brother, 4-year-old Kimber, the financial strain is mounting alongside the emotional weight.
