To all of our treasured family members, dear friends, as well as friends of friends and colleagues,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my grandson and his family during a very emotional and unexpected time.
Sweet baby Isaiah was born early and is currently receiving specialized care at Valley Children’s Hospital in Fresno. He had to be airlifted to Fresno when he was 4 days old. He is facing some early challenges and will need to remain in the hospital for an extended period as he grows stronger each day.
Moments after birth, Isaiah was diagnosed with a cleft palate and Pierre Robin Sequence, which means he has a pushed-back chin, causing his tongue to block his airway. He has to lay on his belly or side to be safe. He has breathing issues that are compromising his oxygen intake. He is so brave; we can see that in his precious eyes.
His condition makes it hard for Isaiah to take a bottle. He works with a speech therapist to learn how to eat from the bottle, although the majority of his feedings are from a tube. In the coming days and weeks, we will learn if he will grow naturally or if he will need surgery.
Isaiah is very blessed to have the best team on his case.
Our family is doing everything we can to stay close to him during this critical time, but the unexpected costs of travel, time away from work, meals, and extended stays are quickly adding up.
We are asking for support to help with:
• Travel and transportation
• Meals and daily expenses
• Time off work to be by Isaiah’s side
• Ongoing needs during his hospital stay
Most of all, we ask for your prayers—that Isaiah continues to fight, heal, and grow stronger every single day.
If you’re able to give, ANY amount truly helps. If you are unable to provide any monetary help, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Isaiah in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.
Thank you for surrounding our family with love, prayers, strength, and support.
❤️
