Our family is walking through something we never imagined.
Baby Aleia, just days old, has been in the hospital since her birth on December 1st. She was born with a serious heart condition that required heart surgery and the placement of a pacemaker at only 5 days old. While we hoped that surgery would be the turning point, we’ve since learned that her journey is not over.
Since her surgery, Aleia has faced additional complications that have required more procedures, medications, and close monitoring. Doctors are still working to understand everything her little body is fighting, and she continues to need specialized care around the clock.
Her parents have not left her side. They are living day-to-day at the hospital, focusing entirely on their baby girl—while trying to manage the emotional, physical, and financial weight that comes with an extended hospital stay.
This fundraiser is for our first grandbaby, but also for her mom and dad—to help with meals, transportation, time away from work, and the many unexpected expenses that come with being far from home while your child fights to heal.
Aleia is already showing us how strong she is. She is surrounded by love, incredible doctors, and prayers from family and friends. We believe in her strength and we believe in hope.
If you’re able to donate, share, or simply keep Baby Aleia in your prayers, our family would be forever grateful.
Aleia was named after Princess Leia from Star Wars, known for her strength and resilience. Even in her earliest days, Aleia is showing us just how powerful that name truly is.
