Hey! I’m Kenzie,

A co-worker of mine, turned close and cherished friend, Autumn, has had a scary past few weeks.

Starting from the day before Thanksgiving, her husband, Josh, has been in and out of the ER. There were many scary moments, talk of paralysis due to a blood infection attached to his spine, and talk of surgery. In the end, he is healing, slowly and determined.

Due to the long road to recovery from all that he has been through and from a hospital stay and at-home healthcare needs, and the missed work from the only two people bringing income into the household, AND it being the holiday season, bills approaching is kind of scary.

I know you may not know who this family is, but if you could find it in your heart to give even a dollar, it is appreciated.

These people do not deserve to struggle or be in this situation. They are amazing people with the kindest souls, raising two of the most amazing boys to be exactly as they are. If I had the money, I would fork it over without even being asked. These people mean the world to me, and this is the only way I know that I can help.

“Here’s the official diagnosis:

Pneumonia turned to pleurisy. Kidney stone was also working up, and a weakened immune system led to kidney colic there.

MRSA infection developed in the lungs, then the kidneys. Lung infection lodged in the cervical spine and became osteomyelitis as the infection entered the bone.

Kidney version also lodged in the lumbar spine. Caused bulging discs which also pressed against the sciatic nerve and caused partial paralysis.

Been dealing with the infection in the spine first and foremost. MRSA was misdiagnosed and turned out to be MSSA...more treatable.

Still a lot of nerve pain. But walking the halls on a walker three times today. They’re talking Sunday or Monday going home.”
