Words From Atlas Mom

Friday April 24th our world was flipped upside down, our son Atlas was med flighted to BCH to undergo a major brain surgery after doctors found a very large tumor. Those words alone have felt impossible to wrap our heads around. The past few days have been the most overwhelming, exhausting, and emotional of our lives. It all happened so fast.

Right now, we are incredibly grateful to say that he made it through surgery and is stable. Seeing his strength through all of this has been nothing short of amazing. He is truly incredible. He is so deeply loved, and we are holding onto that love more than anything.

We are still waiting on more results and don’t have many answers yet, so we may be quiet for a while as we focus on him and take things one day at a time.

We know many people care about our family, and we truly, from the bottom of our hearts appreciate the support, prayers, and pure kindness. It means more than we can ever put into words. For now, we ask for continued prayers for Atlas and a little privacy as we navigate what comes next.

we received our son Atlas’ Oncology results, and unfortunately he has been diagnosed with a very rare form of brain cancer. The type he has is aggressive, and will need to be treated aggressively.

While Ben and I are devastated by this news- we have immediately pivoted and are determined to fight. We are ready to move mountains for our boy.

Atlas has one strong army behind him, but he is even stronger. We believe in him so big. The impression he has made so far is nothing but incredible. He is the strongest kid in the world. Cancer has no clue what it’s up against. We are so lucky and proud to be his parents.

We understand this isn’t the news we all have prayed for, but we know God has a plan. We know Atlas is in the best place he can be, and we will hold onto that.

We will make every day count, and give it everything we got.
