As a grandmother - "Gigi", it’s heartbreaking to watch your grandchild face challenges that no child should have to endure. My grandson was born with bladder exstrophy and hip dysplasia, conditions that have required continual medical care since the day he was born. Bladder exstrophy is a rare condition where the bladder does not fully form inside the body, meaning he will need specialized treatment and multiple surgeries throughout his life.

Watching my daughter’s strength and faith as she attends countless doctors’ appointments, consultations, and weekly treatments to ensure she receives the best care possible has been both humbling and deeply inspiring, filling me with immense pride. On January 23, he is scheduled to undergo a major surgery—an important step in his journey toward better health.

The financial burden on his parents has become overwhelming. In addition to past and ongoing medical bills, they are facing the high costs of this upcoming surgery (Jan 23) and a month-long hospital stay. This includes hotel accommodations near the hospital and travel costs during his recovery. Every step forward for their son’s health comes with emotional and financial strain.
