My dad, Armando, has always been the kind of person who brings light wherever he goes. He is funny, full of energy, and has a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. He has worked hard his entire life to provide for our family, rarely taking a day off.
Today, he is facing the greatest challenge of his life.
Over the past two months, he has been in and out of the hospital. He spent 24 days in the ICU, 18 of those days intubated. Seeing him in that condition was heartbreaking. The man who has always been so strong and full of life was suddenly fighting just to breathe. Those were some of the hardest days our family has ever experienced.
My dad has chronic end stage renal disease. His kidneys are failing, and he will need a transplant soon. For the past year, he has been unable to work. He now undergoes dialysis three times a week. The treatments are physically draining and leave him exhausted, making it impossible for him to return to work.
The financial strain has become overwhelming. Between hospital stays, ICU care, ongoing dialysis, medications, and the future transplant, the medical expenses continue to grow. All funds raised will go directly toward his medical care and the costs associated with his transplant journey.
If you are able to donate, we are deeply grateful. If not, please consider sharing this page and keeping my dad in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means more to us than we can express.
Thank you for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult time. We are holding on to hope and believing that better days are ahead.
