Five year-old Ari’yah has fought with all her might since being diagnosed with
acute Lymphoblastic leukemia and hystositic sacrcoma. Being diagnosed with these two cancers is extremely rare and her team at Kaiser Oakland has consulted with many experts while exploring every treatment method available. Her parents Aliyah and Ari have walked this nightmare with strength and grace, loving and advocating for their baby every step of the way.
Recently Ari’yah’s team attempted CAR-T therapy; engineering cells and waiting over a month only to find out the treatment wouldn’t work. This was especially devestating because it was the only path to get Ari’yah to her possibly live-saving bone marrow transplant. When CAR-T therapy didn't work, Ari’yah and her family were told the heartbreaking news that no parent ever wants to hear: they were out of treatment options and the goal had shifted from treating Ari’yah’s cancer to keeping Ari’yah comfortable for the remainder of her time.
Ari’yah’s family has so much to worry about but finances shouldn’t be one of them. This fundraiser is to ensure Ari’yah and her family can focus on being together, making memories and not worrying about the financial burden of bills or possible funeral expenses. Please donate whatever you can and if you can’t donate monetarily, please share this link and continue sending prayers their way.
Aliyah and Ari want to thank everyone for the love and support they’ve received and asked that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers as they spend this precious time with their baby girl.
