Hello everyone,
We are creating this GoFundMe for our beloved brother and friend, Antonio “Tony” Ladd.
Over the past few years, Tony has been getting sick more often than anyone could understand. Even the simplest daily tasks would leave him completely exhausted, sometimes confined to bed for days at a time. Recently, his health declined so severely that he went to the emergency room, where doctors told him that if he hadn’t come in when he did, he may not have survived.
His red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets were all dangerously low. Despite receiving strong antibiotics, blood transfusions, and platelets, his levels would not improve. After numerous tests and two bone marrow biopsies, Tony was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)—a serious form of blood cancer.
Tony will require ongoing treatment for the rest of his life, including multiple bone marrow treatments and other intensive therapies. Doctors have been honest in saying that they cannot predict how long he has, which has been incredibly difficult for him and all who love him.
Because of his condition, Tony is unable to work for an indefinite amount of time. Medical bills are already accumulating, and with reduced income, everyday expenses are becoming overwhelming. While he continues treatments such as bone marrow therapy and other necessary medical care, we want him to be able to focus on healing without the constant stress of financial hardship.
Through all of this, Tony has remained in great spirits and continues to face this journey with strength, faith, and a positive attitude—something that inspires everyone around him.
We humbly ask that you find it in your heart to donate whatever you can or share this fundraiser to help support Tony during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, prayer, and share truly means more than words can express.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and support.
This fundraiser is being organized by Tony’s sister Virginia, and close friend Celia, on his behalf.
