Just recently, our lives changed in a way we never could have imagined. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and within the past week, we learned that it has spread to her liver and bones. Hearing this news has been devastating for our family. My mom is the strongest person I know. She has always been incredibly healthy, active, and full of life, someone who never even got sick. Because of that, we never thought something like this could happen to her. Anne is originally from Denmark and moved to the United States in her late 20s to build a life here. She has always been independent, caring, and resilient, someone who puts others before herself. Right now, she is in Colombia undergoing urgent treatment and surgery. Unfortunately, she does not have health insurance, and the cost of her medical care is overwhelming for our family. We are doing everything we can, but we need help.
