Help an 18-Year-Old Honors Student Lay Her Father to Rest
At just 18 years old, no child should have to carry the weight of burying a parent.
My name is Aniya. I recently lost my father to an unexpected internal illness. There was no life insurance in place, and now I am faced with something no teenager should have to navigate alone: finding a way to lay my dad to rest with dignity.
He leaves behind three children:
• Me
• My younger brother
• My little sister
As the oldest, I feel the responsibility heavily on my shoulders.
I am an honors student, bright, driven, respectful, and full of promise. Despite everything I am facing, I continue to show strength beyond my years. On top of losing my father, I am also helping care for my mother, who is currently battling Stage 4 cancer.
Imagine grieving your father while trying to stay strong for your siblings and support your sick mother, all at 18 years old.
Right now, I simply want the opportunity to give my father a proper burial and say goodbye with peace.
We are asking for any donation, big or small, to help cover funeral and burial expenses. Every dollar makes a difference. If you are unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help us reach others.
Thank you for your prayers, your support, and your generosity.
