Hi, my name is Hayley, and I’m writing this for my mom, Angie Sweet, because she’s been going through more than anyone should have to face alone.

Over the past year, my mom’s health has steadily declined. She struggles daily with shortness of breath, chest pain, abdominal pain, and severe anxiety and depression. There are moments where she feels like she can’t breathe, and it’s terrifying to watch someone you love suffer without clear answers.

While she was sick and on FMLA, my mom lost her job and was replaced with someone cheaper. With that, she lost all of her insurance—health, disability, and life—which delayed her medical care and made everything worse. She was finally approved for Medicaid just two weeks ago, but by then the financial strain had become overwhelming.

Right now, my mom is trying to focus on her health while also worrying about how to cover basic necessities and keep a roof over her head. This GoFundMe is to help with housing, food, utilities, and medical-related expenses so she can focus on getting better.
