Help a Loving Family Catch Up After Medical Emergency
This family has always been the kind that shows up — for relatives, for neighbors, for anyone who needs help. Now they’re the ones needing a little support.
Recently, their son Angel, who lives with cerebral palsy and requires 24/7 care, spent a week hospitalized due to CP-related complications. During that time, Mom stayed by his side to help care for him, while other family members stepped in wherever they could. With several other dependents needing care at home, several relatives rearranged work schedules, and even missed work, to make sure everyone was safe and supported.
Between missed work, unexpected expenses, and recent weather-related closures, the family has fallen behind on monthly bills and their mortgage. This wasn’t poor planning — it was love, responsibility, and doing what family does in a crisis.
Normally, Mom is the one helping everyone else. She’s known for stepping up for her entire family and for making her incredible tamales to earn extra income when someone needs help. For this situation, the family can’t wait to cook and sell tamales to catch up — the timing just isn’t there yet.
The good news: Angel is now stable and doing well, family members are back at work, and life is moving forward. With a little help from friends, extended family, and the wider community, this family can get back on solid ground and breathe again.
Funds raised will help cover:
· Past-due mortgage payments
· Utilities
· Basic household expenses while they recover financially
Any amount helps — and just as important, sharing this fundraiser helps too. Thank you for being part of the village that keeps good people standing when life hits hard.
