I’m setting this fundraiser up for our dear friend Amy Schweim.

Amy was driving from Montrose to Mancos this past Saturday to teach a mosaic class and hit some black ice, rolling down a 100-foot embankment in her truck.

Her truck was totaled, and Amy miraculously walked away, but with a concussion, multiple broken ribs, a broken scapula and the biggest culprit of her extended medical care is her punctured lung and chest tube still in place.

Amy is still in the hospital now, but already starting to concern herself about the bills that won’t be covered by insurance.

Amy has always been such a source of light and love and caring, not just for her friends and family, but a strong advocate for justice and human rights through her works and passion.

I know we look forward to helping Ames get back on her feet and healing without unnecessary additional stress so she can keep shining the light in this world.
