I’m asking for help for someone very dear to me—my cousin and friend, Amanda Travis.

Amanda was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin lymphoma, and she is now facing a battle that no one should have to face alone.

As a single mother of three grown boys, Amanda has spent her life figuring things out and making things work, no matter what was put in front of her. She is the kind of person who is always the first to offer help and the last to ask for it herself. If someone she loves needs her, Amanda shows up.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.

As Amanda begins treatment and focuses her energy on fighting cancer, I’m hoping we can help take some of the financial worry off her shoulders. Cancer brings so many unexpected expenses—from medical bills and travel for appointments to everyday living expenses and time away from work. The last thing Amanda should have to worry about right now is how she is going to keep up financially while undergoing treatment.

Let’s return some of the love and kindness Amanda has given to so many people over the years.
