Alyssa is a freshman in high school, is great and an honor roll student, and great at everything she does. Alongside her studies—where she’s made the honor roll—Alyssa is active in FFA, band, and jazz band, and she volunteers her time to help clean for the elderly. She recently started her first job at Joseppi Pizza in Orient, working toward her goal of buying her own car.
Alyssa’s determination is even more inspiring given the challenges her family faces. Her mom, Sarah, is legally blind, so Alyssa often rides her bike to and from work. On Sunday night, 4/19/2026, while riding home, Alyssa was involved in a hit and run. Thankfully, her injuries were minor, but she is currently using crutches and waiting to see if she’ll need surgery due to a potential PCL tear. Despite this frightening experience, Alyssa’s spirit remains strong, and her mom is incredibly proud of all she’s accomplished.
The funds raised will help Alyssa with transportation for medical appointments, an attorney due to possibly being intentional and harassment from said family, and savings toward her first car. Any support—whether it’s a donation, sharing this story, or sending prayers—is deeply appreciated. Alyssa is an amazing, strong young lady, and no child should have to go through something like this. Thank you for helping turn a difficult moment into a positive outcome for Alyssa and her family. .
