Hi family, this is Alisa (Mz Emedi). Early this morning around 3 a.m., my family home flooded, and I woke up to water nearly reaching my bed. We are safe and were able to evacuate, but because our home is older, the damage is significant. In the midst of evacuating, my car’s airbag also deployed, adding to the loss. I’m sharing this because life off social media is very real, and when your only family in this country is your immediate family, moments like this can feel overwhelming.
