A few days ago, my life changed in an instant. I was hit by a car while crossing the street and suffered six broken ribs and a punctured lung. I am currently hospitalized and undergoing treatment and pain management, with a long recovery ahead of me.

I’m a single mom to an amazing three-year-old little boy, whose birthday is coming up in just 10 days. It breaks my heart that I can’t even be there for him the way I want to right now. I’m used to doing everything on my own, but this accident has left me physically unable to work and care for him the way I normally do.

I’m self-employed and earn all of my income through my phone, which was destroyed in the crash. Doctors expect my recovery to take several months, and during that time I won’t be able to work or earn income. While I do plan to pursue legal action, that process takes time, and I still need to survive and support my child in the meantime.

I’m asking for help to cover basic living expenses like rent, food, utilities, replacing my phone so I can eventually return to work, and caring for my son while I heal. I’m not someone who asks for help easily, but right now I truly need it.
