With heavy hearts, we share the story of our beloved Alejandra Ishel Cadenas Luna, born on September 30th, 1981. A devoted wife, loving mother to two daughters, and proud dog mom to three pups, Ale was also known as one of the best nail techs Tulsa has ever seen. She was full of life, creativity, warmth, and most of all, faith. She believed with her whole heart that God would bless her with the miracle she prayed for.

In August 2023, Ale began experiencing severe gastric issues. She tested positive for H. Pylori and completed the prescribed antibiotics, but instead of improving, her symptoms worsened. She began rapidly losing weight and found it difficult to swallow food. After months of advocating for more testing, she finally received an endoscopy in February 2024 and with it, the devastating diagnosis: Stage 4 Gastric Adenocarcinoma with signet ring cells (a rare and aggressive form of stomach cancer).

Ale bravely underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, but the treatments began to damage her liver. Doctors halted those therapies and moved her to maintenance chemo, which unfortunately showed no improvement. Her pain intensified, she became severely anemic, and despite worsening symptoms, no further options were offered.

Refusing to give up, Ale sought a second opinion and traveled to California, where she spent over two months navigating hospital stays, specialist visits, and countless tests. Sadly, doctors confirmed that the cancer had progressed further. Knowing it was time, she returned home to be with her family.

Just one day after coming back, her body began rejecting food and liquids. She was hospitalized due to severe dehydration and placed on hospice care; only to receive inadequate support that left her in unbearable pain. Out of love and desperation, we admitted her to the hospital once more so she could receive the comfort and dignity she deserves in her final days.

Ale is now in hospital hospice, surrounded by the love of her family as we prepare for her peaceful transition.

She has shown unimaginable strength and grace through every moment of this journey. A woman of deep faith, Ale never stopped believing in miracles, and she is our miracle. She will always be remembered as the heart of our family, a warrior with a radiant spirit and unwavering courage.

This GoFundMe was created to help ease the financial burden of mounting medical bills, hospice care, and upcoming memorial expenses. If you feel moved to give, share, or simply send a prayer, we are endlessly grateful. Every bit of love and support means the world to us.

With love and gratitude,
The Cadenas Luna Family
