Alberto Rios was admitted into the hospital back on November 3, 2025 due to some trouble breathing. After several tests, the doctors concluded that has severe irreversible lung damage. He was placed on the ECMO machine because he was no longer able to breathe on his own. He was subsequently transferred to the University Health Hospital in San Antonio, Texas on November 22, 2025 for further testing and treatment. He is currently awaiting a lung transplant.
