Standing With Aiden

My family is reaching out with humbled hearts as we navigate one of the hardest chapters of our lives.
My brother, Aiden, is now 19 and has been fighting Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a CVST blood clot on the brain and seizures with more strength and grace than any of us thought possible. We found out just two weeks after he graduated high school—at a time when he should have been celebrating his future and looking forward to everything he had worked so hard for.

Aiden had plans to start college for cybersecurity, something he was truly excited about. Anyone who knows him knows he is the sweetest kid—you can’t be around him without feeling his kindness, his humor, and the calm joy he brings into every room. He is truly a light, and watching him face something this heavy has been heartbreaking, but he continues to fight with a courage that inspires all of us.

Between the constant 3 hour trips from South Bend IN to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis and the long weeks spent in hospitals, our world has shifted in ways we could have never prepared for. My mom has been doing everything in her power to be by Aiden’s side. That has meant taking significant time off work—time she doesn’t get paid for. She never hesitates, because Aiden needs her. But the reality is that the bills at home don’t stop, and the financial strain keeps growing.

The hours of driving back and forth have been hard on her vehicle, and unexpected repairs add even more stress. At the same time, she is trying to keep life stable for her 11-year-old daughter and her grandkids at home. With the holidays approaching, she’s doing everything she can to make Christmas happen for them—to give the kids some joy during a time that has already been overwhelming.

We’re creating this GoFundMe because my mom will never ask for help, but she truly needs it. Anything donated will go directly toward:

• Gas and travel for the trips to and from Riley
• Repairs and upkeep for her vehicle
• Household bills that have fallen behind due to time off work
• Christmas for the kids, so they can feel some normalcy and light
• Any unexpected needs as Aiden continues his treatment and recovery

Our family is deeply grateful for every prayer, every share, and every donation. Even the smallest act of kindness means more than we can ever express. Thank you for standing with Aiden and supporting our family during this incredibly difficult time.
