I never thought I’d be in a position to write something like this, but life has a way of changing the script when you least expect it.

Recently, I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a condition where part of my brain is pushing down into my spinal canal. Over time, it’s caused chronic migraines with aura, constant neck and back pain, tingling throughout my body, and even moments where I lose vision and struggle to get my words out.

After meeting with a neurosurgeon, I’ve learned that surgery is not optional; it’s necessary.

I will be undergoing a decompression surgery with duraplasty, a procedure that involves creating more space for my brain and restoring proper flow of spinal fluid. While this surgery offers hope for relief and a better quality of life, it also comes with a long and challenging recovery.

I work hard and take pride in standing on my own, but this is one of those moments where I truly need support.

Between medical expenses, time off work, and the cost of daily living during recovery, the financial weight is overwhelming.
