On April 9th, our family’s world stopped again — my aunt Abbie suffered a mini stroke.
But this isn’t just about one moment… it’s about everything her heart and body have already been carrying for years.
In 2004, Abbie lost her son to suicide — a pain no mother should ever have to live through. Then on April 7th, 2023, she experienced another unimaginable tragedy when her granddaughter passed away in her home. That kind of loss doesn’t leave you. It stays with you every single day, and she’s been trying to find a way to keep going through that heartbreak ever since.
At the same time, she has been standing beside her husband as he fights cancer, while also preparing herself for the reality of losing her mother, who is currently on hospice care. Through all of this, Abbie has been the one holding everything together — carrying the emotional weight, the stress, and the responsibility of keeping life moving forward and the bills paid.
And now… her body has finally had enough.
She suffered a mini stroke.
While people hear the word “mini” and think it’s not as serious, the truth is — it is. It’s scary, it’s life-changing, and it’s a warning that the stress and trauma she’s been carrying has taken a real toll. The road ahead is not going to be easy. Abbie will need time, rest, and rehabilitation to recover and regain her strength.
She will be going to rehab, and during this time, she will be unable to work. Medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and everyday living expenses are going to continue to build — and after everything she’s already been through, she should not have to face this alone.
If you know Abbie, you know she is one of the strongest, most selfless people you could ever meet. She has always shown up for others, even when she was breaking inside.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
We are asking for any support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Every single bit helps more than you know.
Please help us lift some of the weight off her shoulders so she can focus on what truly matters right now — healing and getting through the long recovery ahead.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for standing with Abbie and our family during one of the hardest times we’ve ever faced.
