I have been battling stage 4 cancer, and the road has been long, painful, and exhausting in ways that are hard to put into words. From the outside, people often see treatment dates and medical terms, but they don’t see the daily suffering that comes with chemotherapy, the physical pain, the exhaustion, the nausea, and the moments where simply getting through the day takes everything I have.

I am a single mother, and that makes this journey even heavier. My doctors have been honest with me: there is no cure, only chemotherapy. This means I will be on chemo for the rest of my life. That reality is devastating, not just for me, but for my children, who have had to watch their mom endure treatment after treatment, side effects after side effects, while still trying to be present, loving, and strong for them.

Chemo doesn’t just affect my body, it affects our entire family. My children have seen me sick, weak, and in pain. They have lived with fear, uncertainty, and worry no child should have to carry. I do everything I can to shield them, but they know this fight is ongoing, and it has changed our lives forever.

Despite everything, I keep fighting. I keep showing up for my kids, even on the days when my body feels like it’s failing me. But the financial strain of ongoing treatment, reduced ability to work, medical expenses, and basic living costs has become overwhelming. I am doing my best, but I cannot do this alone anymore.
