My father is a hardworking, loving man full of faith. He has always fought to give us a safe home and a better future, sharing every dream, struggle, and victory alongside my mother. Today, we are living our worst nightmare: my father has been detained and is facing deportation. We are four children who miss him every single day, and my mother, with a broken heart, is trying to be both mother and father while carrying the full weight of this situation. Our only wish is to reunite in Mexico and start over together, but we don’t have the resources to make it happen. Mi padre es un hombre trabajador, amoroso y lleno de fe. Siempre ha luchado para darnos un hogar seguro y un futuro mejor, compartiendo cada sueño, lucha y victoria junto a mi madre. Hoy vivimos la peor pesadilla: mi padre ha sido detenido y enfrenta la deportación. Somos cuatro hijos que lo extrañamos cada día, y mi madre, con el corazón roto, intenta ser madre y padre a la vez mientras lleva todo el peso de esta situación. Nuestro único deseo es poder reunirnos de nuevo en México y empezar de nuevo juntos, pero no contamos con los recursos para lograrlo.
