For years, Ale has shown up for others.

If you were part of Minnesota's immigrant rights movement, especially the Dreamer movement, chances are you've crossed paths with her. Ale didn't just support the movement, she helped lead it. She organized, advocated, marched, and stood beside countless families fighting for dignity and justice. When our community needed leaders willing to sacrifice, Alejandra stepped up to the plate. She even participated in a hunger strike, putting her own well-being on the line for a cause she believed in so deeply.

But beyond her activism, anyone who knows Ale, knows her heart.

She has a way of making every person she meets feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. Her kindness is genuine. Her energy is contagious. She gives without expecting anything in return, and she has touched so many lives simply by being herself.

Today, it is our turn to show up for her.

After much reflection, Ale and her family have made the incredibly difficult and deeply personal decision to begin a new chapter in Mexico. This is not a decision that they made lightly. It comes with mixed emotions, hope, uncertainty, and the challenge of starting over.

As she prepares for this transition, we have an opportunity to surround her and her family with the same love and generosity she has shown our community for so many years.

Every contribution—large or small—will help ease the financial burden of this move and allow Ale and her family to begin this next chapter with a little more peace and stability.
