Last year, our family received the devastating news that our father, Espi, had been diagnosed with Stage IV esophageal cancer. Since then, he has faced this disease with remarkable strength and determination.

His treatment began with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and lymphedema therapy. We later learned that he had three brain tumors, and he underwent targeted radiation treatment. For a time, we were hopeful. Recently, however, we were told that the cancer has spread again, and he now has multiple tumors in his brain. He will soon begin fractionated external beam radiation therapy.

Hearing this news has been heartbreaking for all of us. Despite the setbacks, our father continues to fight every single day, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to support him.

As his medical needs have increased, so have the responsibilities that come with them. The donations from this campaign will support the ongoing costs of his care, including medications, scans, treatments, appointments, and daily living needs. While my brother and I are doing everything we can, we simply cannot cover all of their expenses on our own. Our hope is to ease some of this pressure so that our parents can focus on what truly matters.

We created this space because many people have asked how they can help, and this provides a meaningful way to do so. This fundraiser is simply an option for friends, extended family, coworkers, and community members who wish to support them.
