I was recently asked to leave my grandmother’s house for firmly establishing boundaries in my personal life. I lived with a controlling woman who is both physically and psychologically abusive, constantly managing every aspect of my life and raising my rent when she doesn’t agree with me. Now that I’ve stood up for myself and refused her control, especially since she is the primary reason why I haven’t been able to afford a car or apartment, I am being asked to leave. A friend has offered to take me in, but she is also struggling with a low-paying job and is still in college, so I must couch surf for now. Any financial help would be deeply appreciated until I can get back on my feet.

I am making my goal 20k so that I can buy a car to get me to and from work, and have enough left over to support a few months of rent to get myself back on my feet.
