Hello Everyone,

My name is Brittany Landwehr-Bonar and I was a co-worker to Fernando at Kiewit.

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our coworker and friend, Fernando Saenz.

Fernando was more than just a member of our team—they were someone who showed up every day with dedication, hard work, and a willingness to help others. Whether it was lending a hand on the job, sharing a laugh during a long day, or simply being someone you could count on, Fernando made a lasting impact on everyone around them.

Fernando leaves behind his beloved wife, Aracelly, beautiful children, Gabriella (Richard), Chris, Patricia, and 3 grandchildren, Luciano, Milano, Steven. Fernando joined the Boilermaker Union in 2001 and loved the brotherhood. He joined Kiewit at Scattergood and continued his career as a Craft Safety Advisor (CSA) on multiple projects, Huntington Beach, Jackson Generation, California Emergency Power, Gemini, Cumberland and most recently Viola. In his spare time, Fernando love fishing, everything 49ers Football Team, and Angels Baseball team. Fernando loved having a cold Budweiser and a Marlboro Red while listening to country music. He liked to have a good time with Friends and Family.

Their sudden passing has left a deep void, not only in our workplace but in the lives of their family, friends, and all who knew them.

During this incredibly difficult time, we are coming together to support Fernando’s family. The funds raised will go toward helping with funeral expenses and easing the financial burden as they navigate this unexpected loss.
