Hi, we’re the owners of Falafel Dundrum, a small local restaurant based in the beautiful village of Dundrum, and with heavy hearts we’re asking for help after our business was broken into.

Last night, someone broke into our restaurant and stole cash and a laptop. What hurts most is that the laptop contained important personal and business information that wasn’t backed up, so a lot of what we worked so hard to build is now gone.

We’ve reported everything to the Gardaí and shared video footage and photos of the suspect with them. We’re doing everything we can, but this has been an incredibly upsetting and stressful experience for us as a small family business.

Falafel Dundrum has always been more than just a restaurant to us. It’s our livelihood, our passion, and a place we’ve built with love over the years. We’re proud to be part of this wonderful community and have always tried to support and give back whenever we could.

Over the years, we’ve been lucky to welcome so many amazing people through our doors — including Catherine Connolly, who visited us during her campaign before she became President. Moments like that reminded us how special this little place is and how grateful we are for the community around us.

The funds raised will help us recover from the loss and also allow us to install a proper shutter and better security so we can protect the restaurant and feel safe again.
