Standing Strong with Paige: APML Won't Define Her

Hi everyone,

My name is Hailey Fraidin, and I am raising funds for my best friend of 21 years, Tara "Paige" Taranto. Recently, Paige was diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer called acute promyelocytic leukemia or "APML". This diagnosis turned her life upside down just as she graduated from college with big dreams ahead. APML is an aggressive cancer that comes on abruptly, and only 600 people get this type of cancer per year. APML forms very quickly, so when Paige found out that she was diagnosed with APML, her doctor told her that she was less than a week away from dying if she waited any longer to be checked out.

Paige has been in the hospital for several days and faces at least another month there, followed by seven months of daily chemotherapy once she can go home. She had to leave her job due to the illness, adding financial strain to an already tough situation. The funds raised here will cover Paige’s rent, pet care, other personal bills, and some cancer treatment expenses. While Paige's family is helping with most of the treatment costs, the support here will ease her burden and let her focus on recovery. Paige is a ray of light to everyone who knows her, even in the darkest of times.
