Standing Strong with Leon: Support for He and His Loved Ones
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share that our dear Chef Leon passed away earlier this morning. He was surrounded by loved ones and thanks to the extraordinary care of the doctors and nurses he passed peacefully.
Leon had a remarkable way of filling our lives with kindness, laughter, and warmth. He was a rare soul who made everyone feel special, and words cannot truly capture the depth of our loss.
We are deeply grateful for everyone who has contributed to this page. Your support means the world as we continue to assist Leon’s children. The need to help them navigate life without their dad is greater than ever. Additionally, we will carry forward Leon’s final wish to return him to his homeland of Malaysia, and we will continue raising funds to make this possible.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
Dear Friends,
For the past two years, Leon has faced cancer with quiet courage and remarkable strength. Most of this journey, he has endured privately and with grace. While he has made great progress, the past few weeks have brought serious setbacks.
Those of us lucky enough to know Leon know how deeply he has touched the lives of so many. His kindness, wisdom, and support have left lasting impressions on all of us—whether through his warm friendship, generous mentorship, or his ever-memorable Chinese proverbs. Being part of his circle means being valued and loved and many of us have been looking for ways to help.
As part of Leon’s family of friends, we know nothing matters more to Leon than his children. He has always been their anchor—steady, loving, and present. Right now, having them close is providing him the greatest comfort. But as many of you know, 24/7 care can be both emotionally and financially demanding.
This GoFundMe page has been created to continue Leon’s #1 priority of caring for his family while he focuses on healing. Your generosity will help with medical expenses as well as answer day-to-day needs while they focus on being there for him.
