Waiting for answers - my latest cancer update:
I wanted to share an update on my fight with triple-negative breast cancer. This journey has been one of the most difficult and unexpected experiences of my life.
Over the past months I have gone through chemotherapy, countless doctor appointments, and many scans. I recently had another surgery where my spacers were removed and replaced with temporary implants so that I can act quickly on the recent discovery located in my spine if further treatment is needed. Recovery has been harder than I imagined. Some days I feel strong and hopeful, and other days I’m simply trying to get through the pain, fatigue, and emotional weight that cancer brings.
Recently my PET scan and CT scan showed activity in my T11 and T12 spine area that doctors are reading as metastatic disease. This means my cancer may have metastasized to my spinal cord. Hearing those words has been incredibly frightening and overwhelming.
Right now I am waiting for my MRI, which will give my doctors a clearer picture of what is going on. The waiting and uncertainty has been one of the hardest parts, but I am trying to stay strong and take things one day at a time.
Asking for help has never been easy for me, but the love and support I’ve received through this GoFundMe has truly lifted me up during some of the darkest moments of this fight. Every donation, share, message, and prayer reminds me that I am not facing this battle alone.
If you are able to donate or share my story, it would mean more than I can express. Even the smallest act of kindness helps give me strength and hope as I continue this fight.
Thank you for standing beside me and helping me keep moving forward, one step at a time.
