Since April, our family’s life has been turned upside down. My husband’s health has declined to the point where he needs daily care, and I had to make the difficult decision to leave my job so I could be by his side full time. We’ve applied for disability and Medicare, but the process is long, and we are still waiting for decisions. In the meantime, the bills keep coming.

We have three wonderful children who live with us, ages 17, 12, and 10, who are trying their best to stay strong through all of this. They need stability, and I am doing everything I can to hold our family together. But I am carrying this alone, and the stress has taken a toll on my own health, I’ve already been hospitalized twice.

Beyond everyday bills and essentials, one of our greatest needs right now is a wheelchair-accessible van. Without it, getting my husband to and from doctor appointments safely is a constant struggle, and it’s becoming more and more urgent as his care needs increase.

My sisters have helped us as much as they can, but they each have their own families and financial responsibilities. We’re at the point where outside support is the only way forward.

We are reaching out with humility and hope for financial assistance to keep our household stable, provide for our children, and move toward the possibility of a wheelchair van. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to getting through this incredibly difficult season.
