Standing Strong: Andy's Journey of Resilience

Andy has been a fighter since day one. Born with Optic Chiasmic Astrocytoma, he's faced challenges that would daunt even the strongest. A craniotomy at two years old set him on a path marked by vision problems, but his spirit remained unbreakable.

Recently, changes in Andy's vision were accompanied by intense migraines and leg weakness. Medical consultations revealed a pituitary suprasellar adenoma, a formidable mass in his brain. Seeking guidance, Andy and Candice have been working closely with KU Med.

Andy's journey has led him to undergo proton radiation therapy, a decision carefully made to avoid the risks of surgery. Hospital stays and tough days followed – seizures, migraines, pain – but Andy's determination holds firm. He's working hard to regain mobility and strength.

Now, Andy and Candice face mounting expenses as they are turning to MD Anderson, the nation's premier cancer treatment institute, for a second opinion.
