So, short notice, and no pressure, but after wrangling those pesky details, I am for sure joining an intrepid Colorado crew leaving Sunday and Monday to make a delivery run of critical supplies to the Standing Rock Sioux DAPL resistance camp near Cannon Ball, ND. My personal expenses of gas, food, and lodging are all taken care of; ALL DONATIONS will be used to purchase critical supplies for the water protectors: winter camping/survival gear, construction materials & firewood, and food.
If you want to donate any of these materials, contact me, but keep in mind these must fit in my pickup truck bed or extended cab interior. Chainsaws are a key need, if you have one you aren't using and can give away. Otherwise, extra tools are helpful. Strong canvass tents capable of withstanding high winds and very low temperatures, and sleeping bags rated for alpine winter environments, are also highly desired. Winter clothing such as heavy jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, and boots are welcome, PLEASE NO BABY OR CHILDREN'S clothes.
However, it will be better to purchase these nearby with cash rather than transporting, and local firewood is banned due to pest transport, so those donations are preferred.
