Hi everyone, my name is Hardi, my mom is Sheila Jones.
This is one of the hardest things our family has ever had to write, but we are asking for prayers, support, and help for my mom, Sheila Jones, during the fight of her life.
In September of 2024, our world changed overnight when my mom, Sheila, was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer. Since that moment, she has faced more pain, fear, and challenges than anyone should ever have to endure — yet she continues to fight with strength, grace, and unwavering faith.
Since her diagnosis, she has undergone multiple major surgeries, including having her ovaries removed. During this journey, she also battled a life-threatening flesh-eating bacterial infection that nearly took her from us. She has suffered from severe fluid buildup on her right lung, causing it to partially collapse, and doctors are now discussing placing a drain tube to help her breathe and stay comfortable. She has been undergoing chemotherapy since January of 2025, pushing through treatment after treatment despite how much it has taken from her physically and emotionally.
Because of her illness and the toll the surgeries and treatments have taken on her body, Sheila has been unable to work. This has placed a heavy financial burden on her and our family during an already devastating time.
Recently, we received heartbreaking news that the cancer has progressed to Stage 4 and has now spread into her chest cavity. Her current oncologist has told us that there are no more treatment options they can offer and that they want to focus only on her quality of life. We were told she may only have months left with us.
But Sheila is a fighter. She has never been someone who gives up, and her faith in God has carried her through every step of this journey. We believe her story is not finished yet. We have been referred to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to seek a second opinion and explore any possible options that could give her more time, more hope, and more memories with the people who love her.
We are asking for help to cover travel expenses, lodging, medical costs, and care during this trip. Any amount helps more than you know. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand and simply ask for your prayers and for you to share her story.
We are holding onto God’s promises during this incredibly heavy season:
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." – Psalm 46:1
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." – Psalm 34:18
Our family is beyond grateful for every prayer, share, donation, and kind word. Thank you for helping us continue to stand beside Sheila as she keeps fighting with everything she has.
With love and gratitude ❤️
