Update:
This is the last push, in total there has been around $8000 donated which has helped tremendously. To everyone who has donated i am very thankful, my thing has always been about the neighbourhood. It is the main reason this shop exists and i hope this can continue. Thank you.
Yo, it’s Adrian - owner of YO! ADRIAN! Coffee at the corner of Dovercourt and Argyle. I've been working my little shop in this wonderful neighbourhood for close to 4 years now. I've met all kinds of beautiful people who have dropped by to share some good chat and delicious food and drink. This past winter has hit me hard, and sales have been very slow. I've fallen into a difficult spot and the deficit I'm in is too steep to climb on my own. The bills have piled up quickly, and I fear that I may have to shutter my cafe as early as next week (we are good till july 1st as of now) unless something changes. I'm hopeful that "something" is here at GoFundMe. My fundraising goal is $15,000. I've calculated that this is what I need to pay my suppliers and catch up with expenses. If I can re-stock my menu, set-up the side patio, and capitalize on the warming weather, I should be able to operate without interruption through the summer, and get Yo! Adrian! fully winterized for next season. This is my first small business venture, and knowing what I know now, there are many things i would have done differently. But here i am: determined to keep things moving and passionate about this awesome neighbourhood. Much gratitude for any help you can give. Cheers!
