I’m reaching out on behalf of my mother, Traci, who is facing a new and difficult chapter in her life. Traci has recently begun seeing a cancer specialist in Iowa City and will need to travel back and forth for ongoing appointments, testing, and treatment. Although we discovered she has insurance, it comes with a $3,000 deductible, and she is unable to work for the foreseeable future. This, combined with mounting medical and household bills, has created a significant financial burden.

Anyone who knows Traci knows how independent she is—she has always been there for others and never wants to ask for help. Even now, she hesitates to accept support, but I want to do everything I can to help her focus on healing, not on bills. Our family is doing all we can, but we could use some help reaching her goal and making sure she has one less thing to worry about during this time.
