To be completely honest, creating this GoFundMe is one of the most difficult and humbling things we’ve ever done. We never imagined we’d be in a position where we needed to ask others for help, and it took a lot to set our pride aside. But Titus is worth every uncomfortable moment.

Nine years ago, on our drive home from our wedding, we made a spontaneous stop that changed our lives forever. We adopted a little cat named Titus, and from that day on, he became part of the foundation of our marriage. Today, he’s 10 years old and has been by our side through every chapter of our lives.

To many people he may be “just a cat,” but to us, he is family. He has been our constant companion, our comfort on hard days, our entertainment on good ones, and the heartbeat of our home. We’ve often said that our little family feels complete because of him. Our son, the love we share with Titus has brought us so much joy and fulfillment, and we can’t imagine life without him.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve watched him get sick almost over night, starting with unexplained fevers, losing weight at an alarming rate. Seeing his spine and hip bones become more visible has been heartbreaking. We’ve pursued blood work, veterinary visits, and every recommendation we’ve been given, desperately hoping for answers. While nothing has been definitive yet, we’re now facing the very real possibility that he has cancer.

The hardest part is not knowing exactly what we’re fighting while trying to make the best decisions for him.

As we’ve chased answers and done everything possible to care for Titus, the financial burden has grown beyond what we can manage alone. We’ve drained our resources and maxed out our credit cards because, in our minds, there was never another option. When someone you love needs help, you do everything you can.

We’re not asking for a guarantee or expecting a miracle. We’re simply asking for help easing the cost of his medical care and diagnostics so we can continue giving him the compassion and treatment he deserves without the crushing weight of financial stress.
