If you know my mom Lisa, you know she doesn’t stop. Thirty-two years behind the scenes at Safeway, baking through holidays and weekends, showing up even when her knees are so bad she can barely walk. When COVID hit and the world shut down, Lisa kept going, heading into work every day as an essential worker so others could have what they needed. She’s a dedicated mother, a loyal sister, a generous friend…and the kind of person who quietly prays for people she’s never even met.

She stopped smoking three years ago. She was finally starting to think about what the next chapter might look like for herself.

A recent diagnosis of squamous cell lung cancer has put everything on hold…including a knee surgery she’d already been waiting on. But if we know Lisa, we know she is going to fight this with everything she has. She just needs a little help carrying the load right now.

Medical bills are already coming in ahead of her surgery for some of the tests and doctor’s visits. She’ll be out of work during recovery, and her mortgage and bills don’t stop. We’re raising funds to take that pressure off her shoulders so she can pour all of her energy into getting well and getting back to the people she loves. Funds will be used for medical bills and household bills while she is recovering.
