Three months ago, our world was turned upside down. What started as routine blood work revealed something we never expected—a mass on Hector's kidney. After more tests, the diagnosis came back as kidney cancer. On September 3rd, Hector will undergo surgery to have the kidney removed. We are praying for a successful procedure and full recovery, but the road ahead will be long and uncertain.
If you know Hector, you know his heart. For over 26 years, he has poured himself into this community—coaching, mentoring, and cheering on countless kids from the sidelines. Many of those kids are now adults who still remember the encouragement and belief he gave them, both on and off the field. At home, he is a devoted husband and father of three, with his youngest just starting her senior year at Vista del Lago High School. On top of that, he lovingly cares for his 99-year-old mother-in-law every single day. Simply put, Hector has always put others first.
Now, for the first time, he needs us. Because he works as a 1099 employee, he doesn’t have sick leave or disability benefits to fall back on. Doctors expect him to be out of work for at least two months, and while he focuses on healing, the medical bills and everyday expenses are adding up quickly.
We are humbly asking for your help. Whether it’s through a donation, a share of this page, or keeping Hector in your prayers, your support will mean the world to our family. Your generosity will help cover medical costs, household expenses, and give Hector peace of mind so he can focus on what matters most—getting healthy and strong again.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing by Hector. He has always been there for others, and now we’re so grateful to see the community rally around him.
