They say life can change in the blink of an eye and for Ally, that couldn't be more true. Over the past two weeks, her world has been turned upside down in ways no one would have imagined.
On the night of Friday, July 18th, Allyson Lambert was the victim in a devastating Hit-and-Run while getting into her parked Uber on Bardstown Road in Louisville. A speeding vehicle struck her and fled the scene, leaving her unconscious in the road. Thankfully, her friends quickly found her and called emergency services while bystanders ran to help.
Ally was rushed to U of L Hospital, where she’d spend 4 hours sedated while her medical team worked to evaluate her condition and stabilize her injuries. Once stable, she underwent back-to-back surgeries to repair a broken left leg and a broken right ankle. Though her injuries are serious, they could have been far worse, and her loved ones are so grateful she survived this traumatic event.
Ally remained in the hospital for 5 days being monitored. During the last two days of her stay, she began physical therapy, learning to navigate daily life using a walker. Once cleared by her medical team, she will require three hours of physical therapy each day as part of her road to recovery. She is currently staying with family, who are providing care for her as she begins to heal.
These senseless acts leave a lasting impact on victims, both physically and mentally. While we can’t undo what happened, we are committed to helping Ally in every way possible. Please know your support for her— through prayer, donations, sending love and kind words— does not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful to each and every one of you.
