Standing alongside Lesa Ann Hugh-Sam

Hi friends, we are raising money to support our dear friend Lesa during her time of need. Over the past year, Lesa has had significant unusual medical challenges. She has been undergoing numerous tests, therapies, treatments, and getting as much rest as she can. Unfortunately, as these conditions have become more complicated, they have resulted in her being unable to work for the time being.

In May, Lesa was diagnosed with West Nile virus, which triggered further diagnoses of Epstein Barr virus and Hepatitis A. These conditions have caused significant dizziness, muscle weakness, migraines, and brain fog. For now, she is on indefinite medical leave from her position at the church, per the recommendation of her neurologist and medical team. Her doctors suspect an autoimmune disease but are still trying to determine a full diagnoses and treatment plan.

We love our sister in Christ and want to support her and her children during this troubled time. She has her son Adam (16) and daughter Kathy (8) full-time; Caitlin (23) is finishing college, and her oldest daughter Amanda is settled on her own.
