Rally for Zoe: Overcoming Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
Hello everyone, thank you for reaching this page. My name is Kasey, co-owner of The Lab and Thrive Volleyball Club, where Zoe plays club volleyball on our 13s team. Zoe has been in our programs for about a year, developing each week, committing herself to growth, accepting and being ready for each challenge thrown her way, and being a great friend and teammate. She is a sweet girl who loves to draw, play volleyball, keep cute nails, and loves her friends. Zoe also has a tremendous group of friends and teammates who absolutely love her back. We have watched Zoe grow so much in such a short time as an athlete, teammate, and person. She shows grit and eagerness all while showing a gentle hand to her friends, coaches, and family.

Zoe is now the one who needs a gentle hand from us. We received word earlier this week that Zoe has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. This news has been a sudden shock for everyone. No one knew or understood the severity of what was going on in her body until she was at volleyball practice and was suddenly running short of breath, feeling weak, and feeling pain. Zoe went to the ER and that is when they found a mass. The first 3 days while Zoe was in the hospital showed her true resiliency and readiness to fight. She needed an urgent procedure done to stabilize her body which the doctors said was risky but necessary. Thankfully, the doctors came through the doors afterwards with smiles on their faces to tell the Rendon's that Zoe did great and she's fighting hard.

Zoe is still in PICU while they continue to keep her stable and continue treating her. She is currently sedated to keep her resting and healing at this time. They have also started chemo to quickly begin fighting back against the cancer and the nurses are at the ready to help her fight when needed.

Thankfully, Zoe has had a positive past few days. She was able to nod when asked a question and gently squeeze her teammate's hand. Her vitals are doing well and things are generally stabilizing right now as best as can be but there is still a long road ahead and this is where I ask of your help.

The Rendon's are strong at Zoe's side right now to support her. As you can imagine, they are not able to work right now. It is the least of their worries, as long as they can be there for Zoe and help her pull through, but we all know that living and medical expenses will add up. Any dollar amount that you can give will help take some of the stress, overwhelm, and financial pressure off of them. We hope that our community can come through in a way that these finances can be the last of their worries.

Zoe is a fierce and passionate little fighter and we will do everything we can to fight with her and her family. We all thank you for your consideration and are extremely grateful for any amount you can give. If you cannot donate at this time, we simply ask that you re-share this link to rally support.

Thank you,
Kasey
