January 7, my world was turned upside down. Everything I had worked so hard to build is gone.

Through all of this, I am deeply grateful I managed to evacuate in time. After enduring nine hours in gridlocked traffic, under a cloud of dark smoke around me, raining ashes, and tree branches landing on my car, I made it out safely. While I’m thankful for being safe, the loss I’m facing is overwhelming.
