For more than three years, Yaz has poured her heart into our community.

She founded Y Kitchen with a simple belief: food brings people together. She dreamed of creating a place where people from every background could gather, share a meal, celebrate, laugh, and feel welcome.

Anyone who knows her knows that Y Kitchen is much more than a business to her. She is the creative mind and soul behind the food we serve. She was there every morning to open the restaurant and the last person to leave at night. She has worked tirelessly to build something meaningful—not just for herself, but for this community.

Today, our friend is not at the restaurant she built.

For those of us who love her, the suddenness of this has been heartbreaking. But right now, our focus is on helping her navigate what comes next and making sure she has the legal representation and support she needs.

We are raising funds to help cover legal expenses associated with her immigration case.
