Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a mother’s deepest plea for help.
My 17-year-old son, Yavon, was recently diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. Our lives changed in an instant. One moment we were talking about finishing school and our future plans—now, we’re focused on survival, treatment schedules, and hospital stays.
Yavon is not just my son—he’s my rock, my motivation, and the heart of our family. Watching him endure this illness has been the most painful experience of my life, and I’ve had to leave work to care for him full-time. As a single mother of five, this has pushed our family into a financial crisis.
We are currently struggling to:
Cover medical bills and ongoing treatments
Pay rent and keep our home stable for the other kids
Afford transportation to hospitals and specialists
Handle basic living expenses like food and utilities
Yavon is fighting every day. And as his mom, I’m fighting with him—but we need help.
If you are able to donate, share our story, or just keep us in your prayers, you are giving us hope and strength when we need it most. Every act of kindness—big or small—truly makes a difference.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
With gratitude,
Jessica & Family
