After an unfortunate turn of events on Monday, September 7, 2020, our family has been turned upside-down.
After living in turmoil for some time, 5 children should be resting easy as their abuser is no more. However, with an ongoing investigation, we find ourselves with Wesley LaFleur (age 11) in Juvenile Detention and compounding legal fees in the fight to prove his innocence.
Child abuse is an uncomfortable subject, and "the system" fails children entirely too often! We in this family have witnessed the long term damage that an abusive environment can leave these children with. We are out to fight for those who have no voice. Those who are deemed as "incredible" because of their age, gender or lack of proof.
We SEE that, often times, abusers are deemed as Charismatic, Sweet, Selfless, Stand-up People to the general public. We SEE that they are entirely different behind closed doors. We SEE that they hide this fact AT ALL COST.
What we are asking of YOU is to help us in the fight to stand up for THIS child, already a victim of abuse, so that he does not also become a victim of a flawed "system"!
