I’m Victoria and I just went through a traumatic experience in life. I had a seizure, was intubated to keep my breathing stable and a few days later was discharged. Within a day I began coughing up blood and I could barely breath. Long story short, my trachea was cut and had a flap from being intubated. I was airflighted back to the previous hospital I first went to under sedation again. They surgically fixed it however when I woke up I could not feel my left foot and lower part of my leg. There is some kind of nerve injury and I am still not sure how this happened from anesthesia. I have drop foot now. Require the use of a walker but even that is painful. I can’t feel touch on my skin or weight baring but I do have excruciating nerve pain in my leg. I can’t work now. I have to endure months of rehab and hope that this comes back. In the mean time I have two kids to raise and still have bills to pay. Any dollar is greatly appreciated. Even a home made meal would be lovely. Crock pot…snacks…anything. The farthest I can make it with my walker is from the couch to the bed and while I am thankful for waking up each day, this has been mentally wearing on me. I love you all and greatly appreciate everything. My eyes are wide open and I see life so differently now. Again thank you even for keeping me in your thoughts.
